Founded in 1966 as the Geauga Community Mental Health Center, our name changed to Ravenwood Mental Health Center when we moved to Ravenwood Drive in 1985.  Headed by a Board of Trustees that is comprised of dedicated and talented county citizens, the agency strives to develop and maintain programs that are responsive to the mental health needs of community members. This is achieved by utilizing a well qualified team of professionals, working in an atmosphere where the inherent worth and dignity of every individual is valued, and employing quality assurance processes to insure that programming maintains itself at the highest standard of care possible. Ravenwood accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and has a sliding fee scale for Geauga County residents who qualify.

Funding is provided by the Geauga County Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services and the United Way Services Geauga.

We are part of a County Services Campus, which includes Geauga County Job and Family Services, University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, Department of Aging and Senior Services Center, and The Geauga County Sheriff/Safety Center.
Satellite offices are located in the City of Chardon, Middlefield and Chagrin Falls Park.

Ravenwood is JCAHO Accredited and
Certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and
Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services
