Individual, marital, family, and group therapy is provided to those inidividuals and families who desire a change in their mental and emotional health and functioning. A multi-disciplinary approach to treatment offers integrated services delivery and an opportunity to blend the strengths of the agency's staff of therapist, community support workers, and medical personnel towards the goal of improving overall mental health.
PARENTING SKILLS GROUP
To many, the task of parenting can be confusing and overwhelming. It is for this reason that Ravenwood Mental Health Center offers a group focused on providing the basic skills needed for parenting. The Parenting Skills Group is designed for parents of children ages 3-12, who would benefit from concrete ways in which to deal with their children's behavior. These individuals may be currently inhibited in their ability to parent effectively and consistently by their own disabilities or excessive stress. This 8 week program is offered several times throughout the year. The program is free of charge, thanks to the generous funding of the Geauga County Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services.
